Copy a Job Requisition

Action

1. 

Select the Access the Hiring Center link.

 

The Hiring Center will open in a new window. Expand the window.

2. 

Select the Requisitions Search dropdown arrow.

 

The attributes by which you can search will display.

3. 

If you don't know the ID of the past requisition, search by the functional or position title of the job.

4. 

If searching by Requisition ID, enter the ID number of the old requisition from which you will create a copy.

5. 

Select the Go button.

6. 

Select the position title for the requisition you will copy/clone.

7. 

Select the Copy Requisition Profile link.

8. 

Some of the text of requisition you created in the past will become available for you to use again.

 

You can edit fields and text.

9. 

To edit the copied requisition, select the Edit Requisition Profile link.

To Edit the Position Number for the Requisition

 

To use the copied requisition to fill a different position, select the Pick a Position Title button.

 

A search page displays.

Make sure the agency selected is the one into which you are hiring.

 

Place your cursor into the Position Number field.

Enter the position number for which you are creating the new requisition.

13. 

Select the Search button.

 

The position will display.

Select the position.

Editing the Copy to Change Who Will See It

 

Let's say you previously posted the opening to all employees in your agency but now want to open it up to all employees of Texas Health and Human Services agencies and the general public.

 

Select the Posting Advertisement dropdown arrow.

Select All to post to all HHS employees and the general public.

 

And, of course, you can scroll down the page to review and edit any text.

17. 

To save the edits you have made to the copied requisition, select the Save as Draft button.

18. 

Your copied requisition will display with a new requisition number.

 

You can add an assessment to it (optional), add interview questions (optional), and submit it for approval and posting (mandatory).
